I have the Family Tree Maker program on my computer but have never used
Gedcom. I want to send only part of my family tree to a lady who is also
interested in one particular branch of my father's family. I followed the
instructions of how to make a copy but the whole of my data base was copied
- my mother's and husband's parents' history also, which is obviously of no
interest to her.

Could someone please tell me how to do this properly and isolate only the
relevant section?
