Daryl,
Re. the maps referred to at
http://www.ballaratgenealogy.org.au/digby/past_nth.htm, are there any for
other locations nearby in Victoria? I am interested in the following
Stations: Gazette (SW Penshurst), Merrang (S Penshurst), Albert Park (near
Serpentine) and Nareeb Nareeb (SW Victoria somewhere). I have ancestors who
managed these stations in the 19th century.

Hi Cynthia and Lex,
Perhaps it is not Cashmere but Cashmore - just west of Portland.
Good Luck!

HI Helen
many thanks for that - I'm new to this list business and am thrilled and
delighted with the contacts I've made so far - will check out Cashmore (wish
I knew Victoria better - am such an ignoramus about what's where)

"Cashmere" Pastoral Run was just near Wando Dale, became one of the
"Wandos", see my map at...

Many thanks Daryl - but for the life of me I can't see it on that map - must
be having a senior moment - it also doesn't seem to be listed in the table -
is it perhaps too small to mark on the map or maybe just noted in the fine
print on the map (which my eyes aren't good enough to read in much of the
map)?
do you happen to know where Weandron and Emernering were (at only 80 acres
they seem very small so may not rate a mention on any map) or Gillap, Avenue
station, or Finnis Springs. as the Power brothers were apparently on all
those properties at one time or another
and am I right in presuming Limestone Ridge is what is shown as Limestone
Creek on the SW map?
cheers

Hello Cynthia
The name "Cashmere" does not appear as mentioned in my previous
email, I believe it became one of the "3 Wandos" that are shown
"Eumemmering" was east of Melbourne in the Westernport region.
"Weandron" was also in the same region east of Melbourne
"Limestone Ridge" was near Penola in South Australia
