I have extremely little information to go on to research this family.
Sarah McKEON (spelt this way on her marriage and death certificates -
but her in-laws and descendants spell the name McKEOWN) born Bendigo in
1860. Her parents were James McKEON and Mary (nee HARDY). There were
two other daughters of this couple called Biddy and Maggie (Bridget and
Margaret ?) and may well have been other progeny. Family goss. has it
that James and Mary came out from Ireland - but I have nothing to
substatiate this. They were a catholic family, however Sarah was
married and buried by the Church of England. Sarah married John William
TAYLOR in 1880 and went to live in NSW. The Taylor in-laws seem to have
known Sarah's two sisters which suggests that the whole family possibly
moved on to NSW. Any help gratefully received.
