Hi Jacqui
A jardiniere was a decorative planter pot, usually made of brass or copper.
We have the equivalent now in clay pots and ceramics.
I remember because a popular song in the 50s was "Among my Souvenirs" and we
kids preferred to sing
"Among my Jardinieres".
