Hi Anthony,

I noticed your reply to Carolyn, and thought you might be able to solve a little mystery for me regarding the
surname HULL...

I have an Elizabeth ARROL (c.1836 Dumbartonshire, Scotland) who married Alexander RODGER (c.1830 Greenock) in
Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland 1852.

For the next 10 years they seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth, and then turn up in Victoria,
Australia around 1862.

They had 7 children in Victoria:

1. Margaret - c? - mentioned on John's birth certificate as being 18 months old.
2. John - b.1862 Clunes, Victoria
3. Daniel Arol - b.1867 - Vic
4. Dennis - d.1869 - Vic - aged 2 (is this really Daniel?)
5. Elizabeth - b.1869
6. Ann - b.1874
7. Margery - b.1875

On John RODGERS birth certificate it states his parents were:

Alexander RODGERS and Elizabeth ARROLL, formally HULL.

I have no idea where the surname HULL fits into the tree. To my knowledge, it is not mentioned on any other
document.

I assume Elizabeth must have been married briefly, before she met Alexander. Though she was only 16 when she
married Alexander!

If you can shed any light, I would be most grateful.
