Actually it's probably a good thing that I put a new message out that said MacLean - North Paywit as you'll see an immediate response from someone. And just since then, I've had an e-mail from a man called Barry - on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia who must have seen it on rootsweb.com and he sent me this info - "Go to http://www.auslig.gov.au/

and followthrough to a (present day) site on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria

type in paywit and take your pick
In particular see The Peninsula @

where you will find Paywit was a riding/parish, County of Grant, on the Bellarine Peninsula near Geelong."
