Whaleworld is the name they have given to the centre responsible for the
Whaling station site and is now also, I seem to have heard, collating a
history of whaling in the area.

Much of the Albany Historical Society library has been moved to reside in
the same building as the Local Studies Collection of the Albany Library. As
such, both are housed in the Old Bonds Store, Proadlove Parade, Albany.
This is the older building, between the Tourism Bureau (nicely renovated)
and the Model Railway Club, at the old Railway Station. The librarian for
the Local Studies Collection, is Malcolm TRAILL (and Julia ? when he's
away). Malcolm can be reached by e-mail on

In the meantime, I'll have a look through my records over the next few days,
and see if I can find anything on Francis MILES.
