I live in Sydney, and mid-year, I will be publishing a family history for a
group of inter-connected Tasmanian families - principally WEYMOUTH, HUBBARD,
HARRIS & McPHAIL. I am posting this message to several WA lists in the hope
of making contact with their descendants.

I am seeking contact with descendants of the DAVEY and DULLARD families -
descended from the Harris family from Tasmania - descendants of Clara
Weymouth and Robert Harris.

The DAVEY family in WA is descended from their second child, Joseph Tempest
Harris (wife: Katherine Jane Creighton), and other members of his family
(listed below) seem to have moved to WA in the late 1890s and early 1900s.


The McPhail-Dullard families are descended from their third child, Rosa
Maria Harris-McPhail, and many of these descendants also live in WA. The
DULLARD descendants are the children of Herbert DULLARD and Flora Weymouth
McPHAIL who married in WA in 1901. Flora was born in Tasmania.

Here are the known descendants of their son, Joseph Tempest HARRIS
(1845-....) - the names into which their descendants married and where
current descendants of these names may read this list, include:

Their Children mostly married in Victoria and WA:
1. Louisa May HARRIS, born 1873 in NZ - m. Charles Hughes MORRIS in 1896 in
Tasmania, lived at Rutherglen, Vic(3 sons in Victoria) 2. Katherine Maude
HARRIS, born 1878 - m. Hugh DAVEY in 1898 in WA - they had 8 known children,
7 daughters and one son, Tempest Hugh DAVEY
(Davey daughters and descendants married BARNES, BEHSMAN, BRIDGEMAN,
GREEN, KALLIGAN, SEARLE, SHENTON, TOZER) 3. George HARRIS, born c.1880 -
had a daughter named Hilda who married in Victoria 1920s+. No other
information.
4. Hilda Grace HARRIS, born 1882 - nothing is known about this Hilda.
5. William Tempest HARRIS, born 1885 - married in WA in 1914.
& another son, George HARRIS - details not known.

Contact has been made with some descendants who have sent or are sending me
details of known descendants, and the stories of the descendants in their
family lines, but I would like to make this story as complete as possible
for the future generations who get bitten by this 'family history bug'.
