It would appear that my lack of experience has caused a lot of problems to some of you. I did open an attachment from one who I believed to be genuine, and still do, but nothing was in the attachment that I saw. So can only presume it was the virus. Many in my address book suffered and I sincerely apologise.
As an aside I had installed a new Vet anti virus only days before and this software at no stage confirmed I had a virus but a Symantec free download reccomended by one who had recieved my infected e-mail found and got rid of it.
