David, Patricia May has an article on the Sandgate Cemetery NSW on her
website Hunter Valley Genealogy, includes information on the train and some
photographs.

Hi Folks;

I have a friend of mine in the U.K. who has undertaken quite detailed
research and published books, on Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey. John also
wrote on the Brookwood Cemetery train - "The Necropolis Railway", and is
interested in old cemetery trains. I have a copy of his book that I got
while in London a couple of years ago.

John is updating his cemetery train book and is interested in
information on any old Australian cemetery trains. I have information on
the Fawkner Cemetery Train that I have sent him, but I believe there was a
cemetery train for Rookwood Cemetery (noted in THE SLEEPING CITY), plus I
believe there was one for Sandgate Cemetery in NSW, but not too sure. I
think I remember a reference to it.

If anyone has any information or can recommend any references for the
Rookwood and Sandgate Cemetery trains it would be greatly appreciated?

Also do any other List members know of any other cemetery trains in
Australia I would appreciate hearing about them.
