Hi everyone - I am new here and wonder if I can help you, or if you can
assist me please ?

My ancestors include:

BAIRD

Alexander BAIRD (Double Ribbed Sandy) 1659-
Alexander BAIRD 1689-1766 m ......CUMMING
John BAIRD abt 1720 Merkland farmer m Mary....... and supposedly had
a brother William BAIRD, found coal at
Woodhead, who m Jean BAILLIE, who began the line of BAIRD's of
Closeburn, Auchmeddon, Stichill & Urie, leading
to John Lawrence BAIRD, Lord stonehaven who became Governor of
Victoria and later Governor general for Australia.

I have good detail on the majority of these lines

FERGUSON

John FERGUSON d 1794 Kirkconnel m Isobel and whose daughter Isobel
FERGUSON m John BAIRD b 1755 son
of John BAIRD abt 1720.

I have little detail
