Yes, it has gone as quiet as the grave
I believe the expression is.

I hope that this grave can speak for itself.
I have put this out before, but we have new subscribers now.
So, does anyone know of the STEVENSONs or the SCOTTs or HAMILTONs in Dalry,
or the SCOTTs later in Ayr.
The menfolk were Contractors mostly sinking shafts for the Coal Mines (Pits)
It is said that Sam and Willie's old workings were used to rescue men trapped in
the Knockshinnock Pit disaster. I do not know exactly the spelling or where that Pit was. Perhaps someone could tell me that ?

I believe, William Scott and Family lived sometime at Roseneath Cottage in New Cumnock.
Can anyone identify that ?

Also their daughter Maggie,
who died 19th June 1886, aged 28 years.
Samuel STEVENSON,
died 25th Decr. 1896, aged 77 years.
Elizabeth STEVENSON,
died at Gourock 22 Decr 1903, aged 83 years
Their son-in-law William SCOTT,
died 29 April 1923, aged 81 years.
Jane Stevenson SCOTT
died 16th. Sept. 1924, aged 80 years.

Also James STEVENSON F.E.I.S.
son of the above,
who died at Kilmalcolm 18th Dec. 1936, in his 90th year
