Hi There,
I am hoping some-one can help me My GGG GrandMother was born in
Mauchline in 1793, Her Birth Cert: reads "Wallace Robert late Wyndmore
in Orchard a married man & Agnes Adamson in Galston their adulterous
child born 18 April & Baptized 13 October name Sara the Father
Sponsor" could some-one explain what the wording the Father Sponsor
means. Sara later married John Davidson in the Parish of Coylton in
1819, I would be interested in hearing from any-one who would have any
information on either Agnes Adamson,Robert Wallace or John Davidson.
