I saw your query about George BAIRD and Helen ARMOUR. You said that Helen's parents were James ARMOUR and Janet REYBURN. We have traced one line of our family back to this couple. Their son Robert (b.03.11.1810 - Kilmarnock) married Charlotte FREW (b.1813 Kilwinning) on 06.07.1834 at Kilmarnock. I have their following generation -

James 10.06.1835, Margaret 10.10.1837, Janet 09.11.1840, Francis 20.01.1844, Charlotte 26.04.1846, Robert 18.09.1849, William Taylor 15.12.1854. All were born in Kilwinning.

Our line descends from Charlotte's brother John. Trust this may be of assistance to you.
