Hi Ian,

Again the Pictorial History of Dundonald comes to the rescue.
There is a map of Dundonald "circa 1790" which clearly shows
a farm by the name of Burnside. It lies at the base of Dundonald
Castle, beside Dundonald Burn. On a current day map it probably
would be part of the housing area called Auchans Estate, and lies
just to the west of the old Winehouseyett farm. On a current day
map, find the castle, then the small street called Winehouseyetts,
that leads away from Main St. to the west. The street ends at
Dundonald Burn, and at it's end to the north would be the old
Burnsid farm.

I note that this farm does not show on the 1856 OS map, and
might have become part of Auchans House Estate by then.

Cheers!
Bobbie
