Hello everyone,

Does anyone have access to the MIs for Beith, Ayrshire? If so, I
would be very greatful for a lookup or suggestions on how to access
myself. Seeking MIs for Thomas KNOX & Catherine McHAFFIE who
possibly died at Beith between 1829-1841.

Samuel Hunter KNOX was born abt 1829 at Beith to Thomas KNOX and
Catherine McHAFFIE. He is seen in the 1841 Census at Beith with
John WILSON/Margaret WILSON & family at the age of 12. And so I
would assume that his parents were deceased by this time. His
parents were married in 1804 and so Samuel Hunter was a late
arrival.

Further details of Samuel Hunter Knox: he was grocer/spirit dealer
in 1851 Census with wife Adair Douglas b. Liverpool, England and
son Thomas aged 7 months. This family later moved to Glasgow.

It would seem possible that the WILSONs were relations of young
Samuel but I have not made that connection to date........

Any assistance or connections would be most welcome.
