Possibly our TENNANT ancestors are related to yours?

Our family is: John TENNANT m. Sarah JOHNSON
Their son James (b.1772) m. Jane BROWN.
We believe James and Jane had these children: John; Jean; William;
James; Thomas.
James & Jane's son Thomas (b.1809 in Glenbuck & Priesthill or
Crawford in Lanark) m. Janet SOMERVILLE (b.Ayreshire)
Children of Thomas and Janet are: Janet; John b.1837; John Somerville
b.1840 in Stewarton, Ayrshire; David Somerville b.1842; Margaret
Somerville b.1849.
John Somerville TENNANT migrated to Canada about 1856. He taught at
Warwick, Lambton Co. ON, attended medical school in Toronto, then married
Mary Agnes WILLIAMS of Aylmer and practiced medicine at Lucknow, Huron Co. ON.

If anyone knows of a connection to our Tennants, we would really
like to hear from you.
