Known relative, James Sloss, b. abt. 1816 Mauchline, Ayrshire. Married
Jessie or Janet Fergusson; b. abt. 1820, abt.1838 in Mauchline. Believe
they moved to Dalmellington to farm and bore six children. Of them,
Robert Sloss; b. 2/1843, Chr. 3/8/1843, Died 4/12/1896 and Buried in
Dalmellington. Robert married Margaret Lees; b. 6/1840, Chr. 6/21/1840
in Mauchline, Ayrshire. Margaret died 6/25/1927 and was Buried in
Dalmellington, Ayrshire. Their grandchildren came to U.S. abt. 1926.
There are two remaining grandchildren in PA, 3 great-grandchildren in
Oregon and 1 in California who reside with their children. Any other
information you may grant us shall be thankfully received. Many
