Has anyone lost a JAMES MUIR b. c1838?.
In the OLD CEMETERY, Port Chalmers, OTAGO, NEW ZEALAND, I found this Tombstone Inscription. No other details.
James Muir, born Irvine SCOTLAND. Died 6 November 1868. Age 30 years.

At this time Port Chalmers was the port for Dunedin, the main city of the Otago Province. So James Muir may have been a sailor, with no known relations in the town-hence no details on his tombstone. From ship's papers his birthplace would have been known.

I hope he belongs to someone.
