Hello Jeannie,
I have a Francis Douglas who married Elizabeth Kidd sometime before
1846 as their daughter Grace was born about 1846 /45/47.Grace was born
in Carlisle Cumberland but I cannot find out anything more about her
parents.She married a Thomson (no christian name found yet) who died
9/12/1882 as she was a widow (Grace Thomson) when she married
Alexander Young( born 1827 in Ayrshire) on 26/8/1884 in Auckland NZ.
I don't know if she married the first time in England or NZ.
Being so near the border her father may have been a Scottish Douglas .
I hope you may be able to help please.
