Well no, actually, but there may be a link with my family tree.

My great great grandfather Robert STRACHAN married Susan CRAN in Kilwinning in July
1850. She was his second wife, as his first wife Margaret HAGGERTY (my great great
grandmother) died. Robert and Susan had four children born in Kilwinning from 1850
to 1861 named Janet, Thomas, Susan and Alexander. As Susan CRAN is not officially an
ancestor of mine I have not researched her line.

Kilwinning is very close to Stevenston, so there may be a link with your CRANNs.
