Subject: Brisbane, Vallance, Wyllie, MacNaughton - anyone got a connection?

Dear North Ayrshire experts:
Can anyone help: it's not very specific, and a bit circumstantial, but points to North Ayrshire somewhere.
Clues:
My g-grandfather, Robert Clark, was born in Kirkudbrightshire and came to Paisley. (Leave the Clark ancestors out of it for the time being.)
He married Margaret Vallance in Paisley in 1860. I don't know where she was born.
Margaret Vallance's parents were Hugh Vallance and Janet Brisbane (no further info about them).
Robert Clark and Margaret Vallance gave some of their children middle names - my grandmother's was Jean Wyl(l)ie Clark (not sure how many l's). She married Robert Caldwell, from the Beith Caldwells - I know about the Caldwells already.
Another of their daughters married a "cousin" (don't know how close) called Hugh MacNaughton.
I am wondering if there is a North Ayrshire connection, apart from the Caldwells. Vallance, Brisbane and Wyllie are also Ayrshire names.
