I have been given an old letter that says my great-grandfather, John Crawford, was transferred for the St. Rollicks Railway Works to Troon with many others and was housed in the Woodland's Building on Gillies Street. This would have been around 1895. Would anyone know about the St. Rollicks Railway Works, and the transfer of workers to Troon?
