WILSON BEQUEST FUND
Instituted 2nd January 1876
The late Mr. JOHN WILSON died 2nd January 1876. Messrs JAMES L. MILLER and
ALEXANDER MCMASTER were appointed trustees under will dated 7th October
1875. 1,000 Pounds invested. The free annual income, 40 pounds, is
"divided annually at Christmas by the ministers of the different Protestant
denominations of Catrine for coals and clothing to the deserving poor".

SORN AND CATRINE BRANCH OF THE NATIONAL BIBLE SOCIETY --
Formed 16th January 1876. Agent of Bible Depot--Mr. ALEXANDER MANSON, Mill
St. Catrine, from whom all kinds of Bibles may be had.

P.S. I think the monetary symbol in the above is pounds, looks like a
capital "L" in scrolled writing. The symbol is not on my keyboard.
