Hello!
Can anyone add any information to this?
In 1869 the 2 Howies in the 78th were 1128 Pte Edward, and 988 Sgt. Thomas.
The 78th Highland Foot was sent to Halifax Nova Scotia in May of 1869.
Edward was born in India, but married in Nova Scotia. His father, John,
may have been from Scotland.
Thomas was born in Scotland to Robert and Elizabeth Howie.

Any thoughts??
