The indexes are available to personal callers from 1900 up to about 2000 ...
I think the certificate fiche are now about 1998. From abroad either employ
an Edinburgh based researcher or write to Register House and see if you can
order the certificate by post ...... but they won't search.... you'd need to
have a good idea of when and where.
