Hi List (& especially George)
I just wrote George (well its over an hour ago now, and its currently 1:20 am in Canada!!!). I wrote George to thank
him for his postings to the list, and to ask him about a particular Richmond (since I know that is one of HIS
surnames). Well I have just spent the last hour (or more) in LDS Family search, going "outside the box", i.e.
looking outside of Scotland, and wouldn't you know I think I have found my "Montgomery Richmond". I am now asking
for the help of a NEW ZEALAND researcher on the list to advise me re the following:
Montgomery RICHMOND mar. Ann(ie) McMILLAN at Waikouaiti, Otago, NZ on 9 Jan. 1865
Montgomery RICHMOND mar. Annie McMILLAN (yes same names) at Dunedin, Otago, NZ on 18 Dec. 1890.
Would some kind soul doing New Zealand Research please advise me on how I can get more information on one or other of
these marriages. The full name in the 1890 marriage is exactly the name I am looking for, i.e. Montgomery Cunningham
RICHMOND, but the one I'm looking for was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire in 1838. (His mother Ann Ferguson was "from
Kilmarnock", hence my request on the Ayrshire list), as well as getting all the great Richmond info from George via
this list.
I would appreciate any help on this, either direct, or via the list.
