My MCCLURE's were only in Ayrshire for a short time, around 1872. John PATERSON married Mary MCCLURE b. abt. 1838, daughter of John MCCLURE and Helen SMITH. They had 4 children Walter Robertson PATERSON b. 1871, Helen McClure PATERSON b 1872, Mary Sim PATERSON b 1874, and Daniel McClure PATERSON. Helen was born in Stewarton, AYR, all the rest of the children were born in Glasgow, LKS. Anyone else researching this family? If you are I have more information on the ancestry of John PATERSON.
