I research many different families in the Georgina Township & North Gwillimbury Township area (which no longer exists, it was amalgamated with Georgina Township in 1971) in York Region (formerly York County), Ontario Canada. I have come across several times the name you may be searching. It is spelled differently though, Lawson Barber. I've seen him in land records, council minutes etc., 19th century. (mid-late)
