Mike Boyd:Have you seen the reference in David Dobson's "Scots in New England 1623-1873" to James (in 1741) & John Boyd (in 1751) of Ayrshire being admitted to the Scots Charitable Society? Manuscripts available at New England Historical & Genealogical Society.
To List: If you have sub to Ancestry Publications, some of Dobson's books were available to search there. You can get immersed in reading them though! <g>
