Subject: [AYR] Who was James Douglas with Brucce at Rathlin Isalnd 1307

Does anyone know which branch of the Douglas families this James Douglas.
I assume that he is the same person who had Command of one of the wings at
the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314?
During my trip I found some material that described the attach on the castle
of Brodick on Arran.
However, the footnote is interesting:-
Sir Robert "Boyd was a knight, Douglas was not, therefore Boyd would
naturally be in command of the party; but Barbour attributes all the credit
to Douglas, doubtless because of Douglas's superior subsequent fame."
This book said that Bruce had 300 men with in during the winter on Rathlin
Island so I am not sure what other Ayrshire men may have been with Bruce on
Rathlin.
