Hi Bobbie,

This Scottish Parish / Registration Districts list may help you.
It can be downloaded from this General Register Office for Scotland page.

Hurlford isn't mentioned in Chamber's 1832 Gazetteer, nor Fullarton's 1842.
But Fullarton's c1865 has a short description - this is part of it.
Hurlford, Pop. 371. A post-office village in the Parish of Riccarton.
It appears to have been given its own Registration District No. in 1887.

1855-1886. Riccarton (611)
1887-1937. Riccarton (611-1)
1938+ Seems that Riccarton is now included in Hurlford & Crookedholm (611)

1887-1934. Hurlford (611-2)
1935-1937. Hurlford & Crookedholm (611-2)
1938-1968. Hurlford & Crookedholm (611)
1969 to date. Hurlford & Crookedholm (666)
