I would think that the ARIZONA HISTORICAL SOCIETY LIBRARY in Tucson would be
your best bet. If you know the name by which the party was known, that may
be helpful. Good luck!

Subject: [AZ-CEMETERIES] Cemetaries

> My 2nd great grandfather was killed outside Tucson, in june 1957. There is
a marker in the family cemetary in Ohio, but it states that he is not
burried there. I would assume that in 1857, they wouldn't ship a body across
country, especially in June in AZ. Supposedly his body and the bodies of the
group he was with was found by the cavalry. My question is, would the
cavalry had burried the bodies on the spot, or taken them to a nearby
cemetary? Anyone have any suggestions as I would like to find him if I
could. I live in Mesa, AZ. All help appreciated!
