I have gone thru the old funeral books here in Casa Grande and even if they were noted in the old books, a lot of the times the family did the burial themselves. The funeral home did nothing but make a note that the family did the burial. They may have purchased the wood coffin but they even dug the grave.

If you could get ahold of the old funeral records there is a chance that might tell you. I have even seen it where the records say they were buried under such and such tree by a big rock. Well, the tree is probably gone and who knows what happened to the rock.

The chance of finding the old funeral record books are getting harder and harder. You said that you checked with the mortuary in the area and they did not have a record? There is a chance that the city hall would have a record of the burial????
