Kelton was a railroad town which was established in 1909 and the PO was
established Feb 1915. It was between Courtland and Gleeson, which probably
can still be found on a good Arizona atlas. I believe that it was located
on what now is the Courtland Road (off H191) and in the area of what became
Grizzles Orchard. I used to live on Courtland Road in the 1940's-50's. I
can send a map as an attachment if interested which is taken from "Railroads
of Arizona" Vol. 1.
What are the names of your ancestors that lived in Kelton? Your pictures
really don't have a "background" that is recognizable but they are great
pictures. Kelton (and Grizzle's Orchard) was situatuated looking down into
the Valley.
I would be interested in other information or pictures you might have.
Marti
