Firstly-you might contact the Arizona State Library and Archives and see if they hold any of his photographs in their photo archives or even an obit for Mr.Cooley. You can email them and include your mailing address and they will send you what they have or notify you of copy prices for photo's.
As for "biographical" information about the fellow:
Benjamin Dawson Cooley registered for the WWI draft in Douglas,AZ in Sept.of 1917; he gave his birth date as Feb.4,1878; he was self employed as a photographer, next of kin his wife Marie A.Cooley. He was tall, had dark blue eyes and dark gray hair at the time.
In 1920 census he was a photographer in Douglas;he and his parents born in MO, wife Marie born in MI,her parents born in Norway;they have children Elizabeth age 8,Dawson age 5,Anna age 2, and James age 5m.
In 1930 they are in Phoenix, and he is a commercial photographer; states that Ben married at age 32 and Marie married at age 27; still only have the 4 children listed above-all children born in AZ.

There you will find the death certificate for Benjamin and birth records for daughter Elizabeth,son Benjamin Dawson Jr., and a stillborn son born in 1921. The birth records give the maiden name of Mrs. Cooley as Rigstad.
The death certificate for Benjamin gives his birth place as Pleasant Hill,MO; parents James Cooley and Laura Meyers.
