Funeral services will take place Saturday at 2 at the Assembly of God Church in Sedona for Henry E. Cook, 84, longtime resident of the Sedona area who died Thursday afternoon at Flagstaff Hospital. Burial will be in the Grasshopper Flat cemetery.

Cook was a native of Missouri, where he was born Jan. 6, 1871, but moved to Arkansas at the age of 12. He was married in September, 1892, to the former Miss Effie T. Jameson, who died July 9, 1946.

The family came to Arizona in 1922, living first at Phoenix, and moved to Sedona in 1928. He homesteaded in what is now known as Rainbow Valley, formerly known as Grasshopper Flat. He later returned to Phoenix but for the past year he had been living with a daughter, Mrs. Oliver Wood, in Flagstaff.

In addition to Mrs. Wood, he is survived by two sons, Jay, Flagstaff, and Fred, Buckeye, and several other daughters, including Mrs. Frank Gibson, Sedona; Mrs. J.A. Stone, Westville, Okla.; Mrs. O.F. Smith, Cildale, Calif.; Mrs. V.B. Pirtle, Flagstaff; Mrs. Earl Russell, Sedona; Mrs. O.W. Redwine, Phoenix, and Mrs. Gene Horn, Phoenix.

There are also 26 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
