FHSA is announcing their annual Fall Conference....and it will be a good
one!
We are brining in TWO Nationally recorgnized speakers Kellee Blake from the
National Archives Mid-Atlantic Region....and Janis Duffy, Massachusetts
State Archives. Kellee will be focusing on the records that are not
microfilmed at the Regional Archives, nineteenth century bankruptcy cases,
and she is our key note lunch speaker on "Excuse Me, Where's My Family?: An
Archivist's Tale". Not to be outdone, Janis will be focusing on Passenger
lists in the MA Archives and MA archive holdings which date from the
beginning of the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1628. And as a treat, both
Kellee and Janis will wrap up the day with a joint surprise topic which you
won't want to miss.

What else? Well, we have invited vendors....we have invited local
organizations.....we have door prizes and more door prizes....and we're
raffeling off a Visor PDA (personal data assistant). Don't know how you
can use a Visor in your genealogy.....read about a new genealogy program
written for the Palm and Visor PDA's called "My Roots" that Dick Eastman

Visor are on sale now thru the Seminar Committee, or on your seminar
registration form...and soon thru your Chapter President.

Want more? Well, we are promoting early registration.
(a) Everyone who registers by September 30, will receive 3 door prize
tickets.
(b) First 30 people who register will receive 5 door prize tickets.

Want more incentives? Well, how about a Christmas party for your Chapter.
The
Chapter that has the greatest PERCENTAGE of their membership in attendance
on
October 28 at the Seminar will receive a Christmas Party hosted by the
Seminar Committee.
