Did you get your obit yet?????

I was at the Mesa Library today and happened to take along all the obit
requests to see if I could find them. I found your James A. Dingman. His
obit date was 13 April 1980 on page E 17. His is a rather long obit, but
her goes....

Mesa--The Rev. James Dingman, 73, who was the founder and superintendent of
the Sunchine Acres Children's Home on North Higley Road, died April 12,
1980, in Mesa Lutheran Hospital. Mr Dingman, 3406 N. Higley Road, came to
Phoenix in 1929 from North Bend, Ore. He moved to Mesa in 1935 and became
pastor of the Apostolic Christian Church, 120 W. First Ave. He operated a
malt shop and cafeteria next to the church. He and his wife, Vera, started
the children's home in 1954. Surviving besides his wife are children,
Priscilla Guttis, Carol Whitworth, James Jr., Rolland and Charles, four
sisters, 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call
from 3 to 8 p.m. Manday at the Chapel of Prayer Funeral Home, 108 N. 56th
St. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church of
Mesa, 15 E. First Ave.

Hope this helps.... I could not find Rolland's obit. You may want to email
the Az Archives at to see if they have something on
him.

Hope this helps,

Amber
