Hi Janet - The MCBANE's were easy enough to find in the 1920 with the clue that Eve or Eva MCBANE was born in West Virginia. While the Ancestry.com head of household index has Earl MCBANE listed as Earl MCBAIN, the family is found in the 1920 census, Grant (Hancock), WV, roll T625_1954, page 9A, Enumeration District (ED) 12, Ancestry.com image 0355.

Francis is 4 2/12 or 3/12 and found living at 161 Carolina Avenue with his father Earl age 31, and his mother Sydney age 26.

Earl worked "Giggerman" in the pottery industry.
