Gail,

I have been working on a book about Pauline Cushman. Her husband, Jere Fryer was a Pinal County Sheriff in the 1880s. He was also a miner, and I have noted references to the Vekol mine in newspaper accounts that I have read at the Arizona Historical Society. I have also come across references to the town of Pinal (now abandoned) and the mine (Silver King?) near there. Next year I was hoping to
get back to Arizona and four-wheel it to the Pinal site. Have you been there?
