Here are a few wills that I was able to copy yesterday, when I visited the
Georgia Room at our local library:


Charles BaconOctober 26, 1821

To my 2 sons, Charles and Jacob, all my lands and give Polly and Catherine
9 months schooling, and Catharine one $25 saddle, also $1500 in Jonesboro
Bank when of age. To daughter, Elizabeth, $575. To daughter, Nancy, $20
and her husband is to lift his note I have on him for $430 at my
death. Executors: Sons Charles and Jacob Bacon. Wit.: William Jackson,
Elizabeth Bacon, Samuel Duglas.

Isaac BaconJune 3, 1826

To 3 sons: Jonathan, Charles and John Bacon - my plantation of 286 acres
with all the buildings, furniture, negroes, and cattle, equally
divided. Charles and John to be guardian for Jonathan. They shall care
for my wife, Abigail. I have given to 3 sons, Thomas, Joseph, and Isaac
Bacon and daughter, Nancy Hunt. Executors: sons John and Charles. Wit.:
Jacob Taylor, Thomas Hunt, Henry Deakins. Probated July Sessions, 1826.

Time was cut short for me at the library, but I copied the page numbers for
the remainder of the wills that I wish to copy, and hope to get back this
coming week to complete the remainder. I will share, as I find more.
