Dear Heinz:
Thanks for that input. I suspect that many, if not all, the Weingärtner
appearing in the Grunbach and Geradstetten records would fit that description,
assuming they could actually own the property, rather than manage it for an
estate holder. My dilemma was that the dictionary translation into English of
"Weingärtner" is "vine dresser," a term which to me does not carry the
connotation of ownership or any other kind of equity.
