Cheska,
I was going over all the Badgley History articles you have been sending to
the list and came across a question. Concerning the Elizabethtown, New
Jersey Journal article dated Nov 13, 1810, about the murder suicide comitted
by Jacob Badgley, you previously stated you thought this was Jacob son of
Cornelius and Elsey Townsley Badgley. According to your article from the New
Jersey Evening News (Badgley History pt. 8), Elsey died July 21, 1809, the
day after hearing of the suicide of her son. Her son William died July 20,
1809. My question is: Is William Badgley son of Cornelius and Elsey the
same as Jacob mentioned in the Nov 13 aritcle? Was his name possibly Jacob
William or William Jacob?
