Hello Carole,
My wife, Diane, and I went there last year, Holiday and island hopping, but
not a beach holiday, following others recommendations we stayed at 'Dillets
guest house' still a family run house,. It was excellent. We can forward
details and current rates if you wish. We also carried out research in the
bahamas archives. they couldn't have been more helpful, Dr Gail Saunders is
the state archivist. However, tgeir main function is maintaining the states
official records, and they are very resource limited when it comes to
helping with family research. Will give more details later if you wish.
