Looking for any information pertaining to the family of George & Margarete Bahr. George Bahr, age 32 and his wife Margarete also 32 arrived at New York City from Baden via Le Havre aboard the "J. Greenman" on 21 December 1854.

Accompanying them were their children: George age 9, Jacob age 8, Henry age 7, Daniel age 6, and Caroline age 11months.

The family settled at Wawarsing (Ellenville), NY and worked on the old D&H Canal until its demise and then George and Jacob removed to Brooklyn, NYC. George again removed to the Bronx.
