I would like to correspond with anyone interested in The BALLIE family of
Berks Co., PA. A Dorthea BALLIE married Ulrich Scherer/ Scheurey/
Shirer/Shirey and had the following children:
Jacob, Johann Peter, Heinrich who married Susanna Gabriel, Elizabeth, Maria,
Susanna and Michael all of whom are named in her will. This family lived in
Maxatawney Twp Berks PA from abt 1730-1770. I believe Ulrich and Dorthea may
have come from Switzerland originally and probably married there. Any help
with this family would be very much appreciated.
