Hello to Mike in Wa, and all on the list!
I have begun a geneological quest in search of my heritage and roots. I
am very new to this, but have the great fortune of a new neigbhor who has
been into geneology for about 25 years. (It was actually his speaking of his
searches and results which got me curious about this whole process). I was
adopted at birth, but have some information pertaining to my birth parents. I
was born in Weymouth, MA, 3/17/58, to Clyde Rafuse and Martha (Bain) Rafuse.
(I was adopted by a family named Bean, can someone hum the theme song to the
Twilight Zone?) My maternal grandmother was Marjorie (Perkins) Bain, and my
maternal grandfather was William Bain. Martha and Clyde (my birth parents)
divorced sometime between '58-'60, and my birth mother re-married a man named
Paul Norris- Litchfield in 1962, and they lived on Monatiqout St in Weymouth
MA. I did find a Marjorie Bain, who was born in 1896 and lived in Braintree,
MA, the next town over to Weymouth, so in my eyes, this would make her a good
candidate to possibly be my grandmother.
I am hoping someone one the list can help me with direct information
pertaining to this family, or what can I do with the information I have to
continue my quest?
Thanks in advance,
Bill in MA
