Judy, Roy, and Elizabeth:

You are the people who responded to my initial message with the name of
Oswald Baird.

I have not found my letter from her nor my response to her YET, but I
did find the Family Group Record Sheet I created at the time in my
expanding folder for S. Yule--sans letter, of course--and this is what I
wrote on it:

Oswald Baird married to Mary Ann Taylor; son Robert Baird born circa
1835 at Northumberland? England (Newcastle-on-Tyne).

Died 8 January 1874 Newcastle, N.S.W., Australia

Family Group Record sheet prepared after receiving S. Yule letter.

I will keep my eye out for the Yule letter and type it verbatim for all
of you. I cannot recall the name of the town where the photograph was
taken in a studio, but do recall that it was in west central Illinois.

Let me know if you have any address/E-mail changes.

Adele, Judy, Elizabeth and others interested:

I found the information I was searching for about Oswald, Baird. I had to
clean off my desk to find the misplaced letter on the bottom of the stack.
This is a full page obituary as sent to me from a lady in Colorado.

END OF OBITUARY---------

There is suppose to be a relative of Richard Oswald Baird living in Montanna,
who has more on the family history but I have not made contact with this
individual . I will try to find more about this family.

There are some areas of common data in this Obit and the e-mail on Oswald
Baird that has been sent on the Baird mail list. Also since the death of
Richard Oswald Baird occured in 1920, there should be good information on the
death certificate regarding his parents and place of residence.

I hope this helps some on the details of Oswald Baird. At least there are
clues to go on in finding the details of this family.
