3rd gt gd. father Samuel Baird did marry Susannah Rogers of Monmouth,
N.J.
6 Aug. 1762.
Samuel Baird also of Topenemus,,Monmouth,N.J>son of Andrew Baird and
Sarah.
was probably bn. abt.1738.( Does anyone have an exact birth date?)
for Samuel or Susannah Rogers? ==Because---I don't know.

#2 Richard Alexander Baird:
Delete the Richard. I think it is only Alexander.
AND I am not sure when or where he was bn. or died.
Supposedly, ---He md. Mary Green probably of Tenn.
Again ---I do not know when she was bn. or when or where she died.

My gt. gd. father Samuel baird is supposed to be their son.
probably bn. 1810,some say 1801.in Tn.
He subsequently moved to Perry,Co. Ala. just soith of Marion at a place
called {Oldtown and md ,first, my gt. gd. mother Matilda Rutledge bn. 4
April 1813 in the Lancashire district of So.Carolina. on4 Sept. 1830.
Matilda was the dau. of Richard Rutledge and Winifred Patience Elizabeth
Blanche Smith.
The Rutledges also lived in S.C. and moved to Marion,Perry, Ala in the
early 1820's
Samuel and Matilda were the parents of 10 children all of whom were bn.
there.,except my gd. father James Hyrum Baird who was bn. Quincy,Adams,
Co. Ill.
5 Feb. 1848.

A William Baird also was living in Marion ,Al. next to Samuel and
Matilda.
(Who was this William)
His five children were all bn. in Georgia from abt. 1804 to 1812.
They being:
Orlena,Sarah,Jane ,Tabitha,and Allen C. Baird (Beard),Orlena may have
died early, the rest md. in Marion,Perry Ala,But all of them including
their father,William moved to Noxubee,Co> miss. in 1838 where wm .died14
Feb.1837.
He was bn.3 Sept. 1770.

There was also a Leroy Baird living in Marion,Ala. the same time ,he was
the son of Jeremiah Baird ,Leroy bn.1815 Rowan,Co. N.C.Md. Francis
Cain.30 July 1835.
Marion,Ala. Their first son,Wade, was bn. there,and they ,too,moved to
Miss, then to Ark, where he died7 April 1873 in Lawrence,Ark.

Robert and James was also living near them for a while in the earlt
1820's before they moved to Jefferson Co. Ala.

Now,having said all this:
I must go back to My supposed gt.gt.gt.gd. father Samuel Baird and
Matilda Rogers.

I have found Samuel living along the Watauga river in Wilkes,Co. N.C.
right next to his brother ,Ezekiel. 1n the 1790 census,AND GUESS WHAT.
I cannot find a son of his named ALEXANDER.
But ,I did find ( thanks to Sanna gaffney)sons,William.Andrew,Jonathon
and probably
a Samuel Jr. and a son Bedent. all signing together, a petition in 1792,
to create a new county in N.C.
I Wondered ,Could this William be the William that was in Marion,Ala
living by My gd. father Samuel
Then in 1815 we find William and Andrew as executors of Samuel Baird Dec.
in Smith,Co. Tenn.,also by then we find the rest of Jeremiah Bairds
family in Smith ,Co, Tn., and his brother Josiah.

Sooo---- I guess you will also have to remove Samuel as my 3rd gt. gd.
father.
But ,I see relationship there somewhere.
